About

I have a varied background including creating and exhibiting artwork, many years of interest in Buddhist/Hindu philosophies, and practice of meditation. My varied life experiences all come together to contribute to a unique experience in the therapy room. The knowledge I have gained through these modalities help serve to inform a somatic psychology perspective of each client’s individual situation and life journey.

I received my clinical internship training at UCSF and further training at Choices Mental Health Clinic and the Mental Health Association of New York City as well as private practice offices. I am a clinical life member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. I am also a clinical member of the Association of Professionals Treating Eating Disorders.

In addition to over ten years of clinical work, I have taught Graduate courses in Marriage & Family Therapy to students in a Masters program. Additionally I have worked for UCSF as a Mental Health Assessor for research studies involving individuals dealing with homelessness, mental health issues and HIV/AIDS.
